Gases Safety Awareness with Practical Cylinder Set-up

For anyone involved in the handling, storage, transportation or use of gases, risks are ever-present. In this one-day workshop, delegates will learn about the hazards associated with the use of gases, exactly where those hazards lie and the importance of implementing and adhering to safe working practices, and will gain full awareness of the consequences of adopting inadequate procedures. This new workshop includes practical sessions during which delegates gain valuable hands-on experience. Visual checks on gas cylinders, valves and regulators. Setting working pressures. Pre-use leak tests. Rectifying a gas leak and much more – all backed up with real-life incidents involving gases that resulted from poor working practices.

Oxy-fuel Gases Safety Awareness with Practical Equipment Set-up and Inspection

Wherever oxy-fuel gas equipment is present in the workplace, there are always risks. Regular maintenance is essential. Awareness of the potential hazards is vital. This one-day workshop covers all the important aspects. Delegates learn about the factors that impact on safety in the use of oxy-fuel gas systems, the properties of gases used, the functioning of equipment, maintenance checks, the potential defects in equipment, hazards posed and their importance to the integrity and safety of the equipment. Reinforcing theory, delegates also participate in hands-on practical exercises. Getting to know the oxy-fuel equipment they use. Correct assembly, pre-use inspection, leak-testing a system prior to use, setting the right working pressures and completing written maintenance records.
