BOC Cryospeed

Safety Literature

Handbook

There are some potential hazards of using cryogenic gases. Although BOC Cryospeed gases are non-flammable, oxygen is an oxidant and can aid combustion of many materials. Cryogenic gases may accumulate in confined spaces, particularly at or below ground level. At high concentrations, nitrogen, argon and carbon dioxide can cause asphyxiation. Carbon dioxide can cause choking in low concentrations. Due to their low temperature, contact with these gases can cause cold burns or frostbite.
