Cutting Nozzles
BOC cutting nozzles are precision-machined and hand-finished to give a positive seat. The orifices are swaged to minimise gas turbulence and slag accumulation, whilst the nozzle design provides excellent gas-mixing for fast pre-heating. The smoother nozzle surface reflects heat and reduces spatter accumulation. Every nozzle is inspected and flame-tested at the point of manufacture.
Nozzle faces can be dressed using a fine file and the orifices cleaned using the appropriate nozzle cleaner. The flame shape and nozzle performance depend heavily on orifices having sharp, square edges. They should never be bell-mouthed by using pieces of wire to clean them.
