Features and Benefits*
BOC MIG machines are built to stand up to the rugged conditions normally found within the welding industry. New and superior features raise the benchmark for performance to deliver greater efficiencies and improved productivity.
New intelligence – microprocessor technology cleverly integrates the machine’s key working components.
All-wheel drive – a robust all-wheel drive system ensures a smooth and constant wire feed.
More voltage settings – up to 56 voltage settings offer super-fine control across most welding applications.
Two induction settings – deliver superior performance over a range of shielding gases.
Digital volt/amp meter – on MIG 320C and 420R models makes easy work of setting and controlling parameters.
Protection from grime – vertically-mounted internal components reduce the build-up of contaminants including workshop dust and grime.
Spike protection – built-in thermal overload, short-circuit and spike protection work together to guard vital components.
On-demand fan – kicks in only when necessary, helping maintain optimum operating temperature and reduce dirt ingress.
Easy to change – reverse polarity, no need for additional tools for flux-cored applications.
Segregated cooling system – protects sensitive electronic components from heat and dirt.
Copper transformer – improved arc characteristics, more efficient with less heat generated than an aluminium transformer.
Innovative cell design – strong cell body structure separates the hot and cold components, increasing efficiency and extending product life.
Rust protection – an electronically powder-coated body, inside and out, protects against corrosion.
Easy to move – slimline design and undercarriage wheels make light work of moving the machine around the workshop.
Wire Feeder WF4 – a key feature of the BOC MIG range is the all-wheel-drive wire-feed mechanism. There is one wire-feed unit available for the remote power sources – WF4. Interlocking gears drive the wire-feed speed, helping you achieve greater consistency across most welding applications. See page 160 for more details.
