Torches

The design of the TIG torch will depend on the application but it is essentially required to provide a uniform gas shield to protect the weld pool and the tungsten electrode. It may be air-cooled or water-cooled and the choice of which to use will be based on the duty cycle, welding current and operator preference. Water-cooled torches may be used to take advantage of the reduced physical size of the torch for certain applications where access is limited.
